HV Electrical Project Engineer – Construction

Are you an experienced Electrical Project Engineer with experience in HV, and Construction & Commissioning looking for a dynamic, site-based role?
 
Join our team and play a key part in Victoria’s Big Build, leading the construction and commissioning phase of the Monash Construction Power Project in Notting Hill, Melbourne.

As the primary contractor on-site, you will oversee the construction and commissioning of critical substation works, ensuring reliable power supply for the project. You’ll manage contracts, quality assurance, design reviews, and calculations, helping drive the successful delivery of this critical infrastructure project.

Other responsibilities:

• Develop and execute construction and commissioning documentation in line with project standards.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure timely, safe, and efficient project execution.
• Conduct installation, pre-commissioning, and testing activities, adhering to safety protocols.
• Optimize electrical systems to support project efficiency and completion.
• Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, inter-company teams, and subcontractors, ensuring seamless communication.
• Complete punch lists and As-Built documentation, maintaining accurate project records.
• Oversee the management of test records, ITC, ITR, and completion documentation.

About you

You bring experience in Electrical Construction Engineering with a focus on high-voltage (HV) projects, managing contracts, quality assurance, design reviews, and calculations.

• You are also highly organised, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator, skilled in building relationships and cross-team collaboration.
• Bringing a results-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex challenges
• Hold a Bachelor of Electrical or Electronic engineering.
• With sound knowledge of Australian Standards.
