The Position
 
We’re looking for an experienced High Voltage engineer with a strong background in the mining, renewables or civil infrastructure industry.
By joining our team, you’ll work on major projects in regional Western Australia, including scopes such as transmission, distribution, switch-yards, switch-rooms, solar farms, and large-scale battery energy storage initiatives.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
As a HV Project Engineer you will be responsible for planning, design support, construction oversight, installation and commissioning of electrical infrastructure.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Oversee installation of HV equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers, overhead power lines, substations
• Implement electrical safety protocols for high-voltage environments.
• Ensure adherence to local and international electrical codes.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analysis.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other engineers.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for HV projects.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.

About You

• A seasoned Electrical Engineer with a background in delivering complex energy and renewable infrastructure
• Must have construction contractor experience
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is essential
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent ability to adhere to program, cost and safety deliverables on projects
