The opportunity
 
Work on Australia’s biggest public transport projects across Rail and Rail Stations, Roads, and Tunnels! 

Due to continued growth and project opportunities RSGX are seeking experienced Infrastructure Electrical Design Engineers to work on a major transport road, rail, and tunnel projects in Sydney where you will be embedded into the project teams working on either stations and line wired works packages, or road, or tunnel projects.
 
These opportunities will see you managing the design phase, addressing design issues and providing innovative solutions to complex issues, resolving design documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You’ll be working on low voltage distribution, switchboards, stations, light and power systems, communications, essential distribution systems, and interfacing with multiple teams to ensure the successful completion of projects. Other responsibilities include:

• Develop, review, and update design documentation to reflect accurate and up-to-date information.
• Develop shop drawing level documentation to reflect accurate and up-to-date information.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and construction teams, to ensure project success.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure design integrity and compliance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.

About you

An experienced Electrical Design Engineer working in similar roles on infrastructure projects such as roads and highways, railways, tunnels and building services. You bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with multiple teams. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Additionally, you can show case based on your buildings, road, rail, or tunnel experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, preferable to have chartered status.
• Extensive design experience working on major infrastructure projects.
• Both design and delivery experience will be highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, switchboards, stations, light and power systems, electrical distribution systems, or similar.
• Experience in design software, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, PowerCAD or similar.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to rail and transport projects.
• Experience or sound knowledge of AS3000.
• Knowledge or working experience in coordinating with high voltage substation elements within buildings.
