The Role:
We have a number of positions available for suitably qualified and experienced Instrument Fitters/Tube Fitters who are available for an asap start.
The Details:
- FIFO from any capital city or BIBO if Perth local
- Roster: 20/8, 11.5hrs per day
- Length: approximately 4 months
The Duties:
- Proficiency in interpreting Install and Hook up drawings to comprehend potential fall rates and necessary installation details.
- Installation of instrumentation Stainless Steel tubing in both Hazardous and Non-hazardous Areas.
- Conducting testing of instrument lines in accordance with site requirements.
- Precise measurement, cutting, bending, threading, assembly, and installation of primary tubing, including Stainless Steel tubes.
- Competence in utilizing various test equipment, such as LEL/H2S gas calibration kits, UV/IR torches, etc.
- Assembly, mounting, and installation of control panels, instruments, and sensing devices.
- Installing instrument tubing of varying sizes, ranging from ¼ inch to 1 inch.
- Placement of tubing on diverse systems, including nutrient supply lines, to support Construction activities, with details either specified on isometrics drawings or determined on-site.
- Support for pre-commissioning and commissioning operations, particularly in leak and pressure testing of tubing systems.
- Execution of tasks following comprehensive procedures and adherence to work instructions specified in work packs and job cards.
- Completion of Inspection and Test Records (ITR’s).
- Active involvement in the Incident and Injury Free program and adherence to principles aligned with Incident and Injury Free guidelines.
- Implementation of work in accordance with Management System requirements.
- Undertaking any additional duties as directed by the Leading Hand or Supervisor – Electrical/Instrumentation.
The Qualifications:
- Trade Certificate
- Construction White/Blue Card
- High Risk Work License – EWP (preferred)
- Work Safely at Heights (preferred)
- Enter and work in confined spaces (preferred)
