In conjunction with Kardan and Wilco, RSGx are proud to announce the formation of a majority Aboriginal owned ME&I service provider to the Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure, Defence and renewables industries – Baldja. Which is Noongar for ‘standing united’. Baldja is ISO Certified and is Supply Nation registered.

As we stand in solidarity beside our company director, Frank Mitchell, we acknowledge the spiritual and cultural custodians of Whadjuk Noongarboodjar, on whose land our Australian office resides.

Further, we wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of all lands throughout Australia, and the Indigenous peoples beyond our shores.
We pay our respects to the Elders past, present, and emerging, for they hold the culture, stories, and dreams of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We recognise and respect the wisdom of the ancestors and Elders, their ways of knowing and doing, and their continued relationship with their land.
We also recognise the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, who are our future and our hope.

Finally, we acknowledge and respect the non-Indigenous people who share our vision for a better future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and a fuller expression of Australia’s nationhood.

Together, we make a commitment to operating at all times with integrity and responsibility, as we work with Aboriginal peoples and on their Country. We are guided by the values of 1) Indigenous self-determination, 2) Indigenous Leadership, 3) Sustainability and Accountability and 4) Impact and Value. This is shown visually in the model, based on AIATSIS guidelines for working with Aboriginal people.

We are very excited about our partnership with Frank and look forward to learning and growing as we walk together on this journey. On RSGx, Frank (on behalf of Wilco and Kardan) states,

“We’re really excited with our partnership with RSGx. We are looking forward to working on major projects, delivering for our clients, and focusing on developing impact and value for Aboriginal peoples, primarily through employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. In addition to this, we will endeavour to empower communities by engaging local suppliers on every project. Finally, Baldja is committing a guaranteed 10% of forecasted profits arising from all awarded projects. This 10% will be used to support local Aboriginal training and upskilling programs within the community”
