About the Role
Working on a 2:1 FIFO roster, you will play a key role in driving the safe and efficient progression through the commissioning phases, ensuring systems are tested, proven and handed over to operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commissioning plans and schedules.
- Manage the transition from construction completion (Stage 1) through staged commissioning and system energisation (Stages 2–5).
- Conduct functional and performance testing of electrical systems.
- Coordinate vendor commissioning activities and interface with construction teams.
- Prepare commissioning documentation, test packs and reports.
- Support system handover to operations including training and operational readiness.
- Ensure all activities comply with site safety systems and regulatory requirements.
About You
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
- 7-10 years extensive experience commissioning electrical infrastructure on large resource or industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of staged commissioning from construction through to operational handover.
- Experience with HV, LV and ELV systems, drives, control systems and plant integration.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.
- Ability to coordinate across construction, vendors and operations teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
