RSGx continues to make strong progress on the Roma Street Station works as part of the Cross River Rail project, with several key milestones recently achieved:
- Cable Installation Milestone: Over 115,000 metres of sub mains cable has now been successfully installed across the station precinct, significantly advancing the backbone of the electrical infrastructure.
- Cable Ladder Progress: More than 14 kilometres of cable ladder has been installed, supporting the extensive electrical and communications networks throughout the station.
- Switchboard Commissioning Preparation: The first 11 switchboards have been walked down and are now in final preparations ahead of functional commissioning – a critical step in bringing essential systems online.
- Passenger Platform & FOH Fit-Outs: The fit-off of passenger platforms and front-of-house areas is well underway, contributing to the transformation of these public-facing spaces into fully operational environments.
- Architectural Lighting Benchmark Testing: Initial testing of the benchmark architectural lighting has commenced. This represents a key milestone for our client, showcasing the design intent and lighting quality expected for the completed station environment.
These achievements reflect the dedication and coordination of the RSGx team and our project partners as we continue to deliver on the vision for a modern, high-capacity Roma Street Station.
