RSGx are excited to announce that we have been awarded with the Signalling ESDS (Essential Services Distribution System) Delivery Package of Works, as part of the Additional Works Package 6 project area (AWP6) on the Southern Program Alliance (SPA) project. The SPA project is a section of the $6 billion Level Crossings Removal Project, in Melbourne, Victoria, which involves the removal of 75 level crossings, of which 2 are included in AWP6 at Warrigal Road and Parkers road.

The AWP6 package involves building a viaduct that goes over a road and has an approximate length of 1,150m, as well as replacing all the existing track formation and overhead infrastructure for a stretch of about 2.3km between project limits on the track.

It also includes creating a new local Parkdale Station with a platform on each side, supported by the substructure of the rail viaduct, and constructing civil infrastructure such as footpaths, shared use paths, carparks and drainage.

RSGx have been tasked with the removal of AWP6 enabling assets and the installation of the Essential Services Distribution System (ESDS) and bonding requirements for the final stage of AWP 6 rail signalling works which includes:

We have effective project management on the task, communicating with our client every day and anticipating a positive result for both our client and ourselves”.
