The Role: As RSGx continues to grow here in WA we are seeking an experienced Accountant to support our financial management stream here in our Burswood office. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be an integral member of the WA team dedicated to providing critical financial management support to our projects and services functions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounts in Xero
- Handle statutory compliance requirements, including filing of taxes, EPF, and SOCSO contributions
- Assist with accounts receivable and payable functions
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements
- Assist with billings in Xero and claim preparation.
- Manage daily cost tracking to ensure correct WBS/Project use and monitor cost control.
- Prepare end-of-month journals and accruals.
- Conduct end-of-month cost reviews and project margin analysis.
- Communicate with key stakeholders promptly to manage outcomes against expectations.
- Attend weekly finance meetings and monthly Results Review meetings to present forecasts and results with commentary.
Requirements:
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in accounting
- CPA highly advantageous
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Xero, EFTsure) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations
- Strong analytical and communication skills (proficient in English).
