About the Role
We are currently seeking a Contract Administrator, preferably with a background in Quantity Surveying or Finance, to join our growing WA operations. You will bring your expertise in cost control and contract administration to a portfolio of current and future projects.
The role of Contracts Administrator requires a motivated and detail-oriented professional who enjoys making a tangible impact. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical. You will need to be comfortable to be in the detail one minute and strategising against the bigger picture, the next.
Key duties will include:
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers across a range of projects to ensure their commercial success. Including forecast to complete reviews, variance analysis, and dispute resolution.
- Preparing and manage budgets, forecasts and commercial reports (weekly/ monthly).
- Conduct budget reconciliations for self-perform works and subcontracted packages.
- Set up and maintain project cost estimates in the system (Procore).
- Draft, negotiate and issue subcontractor agreements.
- Allocate budgets to contract schedule line items according to the WBS structure.
- Monitor and manage day to day cost control.
- Prepare and submit progress payment claims, monitor payments and maximise cashflow.
- Implement and manage disciplined change controls (notifications/quantifications).
- Manage the end-to-end resolution of contract changes and variations.
- Lead internal and client-facing cost reviews and prepare client reports and submissions.
About You
You bring proven experience in the construction sector, with exposure to; development appraisals and pre-contracts and post-contract project delivery, strong project controls, including cost scheduling and cost management expertise, and are comfortable using ERP systems (Procore, JDE or equivalent platforms), and proficient in MS Office Suits (in particular MS Excel).
You are self-motivated, with a high level of ownership and accountability, resilient under pressure, with a positive and solution-oriented approach, and can work autonomously while being a committed team player.
Bring suitable qualifications in quantity surveying, contract management, financial management or some other related discipline.
