About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced EEHA Inspectors to join a pioneering pilot project supporting Australia’s renewable energy transition in the Pilbara, WA. Project scope is until December 2026.
This role forms part of an integrated commissioning team on a first-of-its-kind project. It’s an excellent opportunity to further strengthen your commissioning capability, join an awesome team – while contributing to a project that will stand out on your CV for years to come.
Project overview:
- Integrated commissioning team role supporting shutdown, commissioning, and start-up

- FIFO, 2:1 roster, WA
- Day and night shift options (night shift +30% uplift)
- Flights provided from Australian capital cities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and audits of electrical equipment in hazardous areas (EEHA) in accordance with AS/NZS 60079 series and other applicable standards.
- Verify compliance of installations with design specifications, hazardous area classification, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, highlighting non-conformances and recommending corrective actions.
- Liaise with engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to resolve compliance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and certifications for audit and regulatory purposes.
- Provide technical advice and guidance on hazardous area electrical safety.
About You
- Electrical trade qualification and current electrical licence.
- Competency in EEHA inspection and installation as per AS/NZS 4761 or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hazardous area classification and protection techniques (Ex d, Ex e, Ex i, etc.).
- Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas – Electrical or equivalent.
- Experience in hydrogen, oil & gas, mining, or chemical processing industries.
