As we continue to grow our footprint in Sydney, we’re seeking an experienced Construction Electrician to join our collaborative and professional team.
About the Role
In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for site electrical installations across a range of commercial and industrial projects. Working closely with project teams and clients, you’ll help deliver works safely, accurately, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical wiring and installations in accordance with construction drawings and WHS standards
- Actively participate in Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and toolbox talks
- Work alongside engineers and supervisors to clarify design queries or incomplete information
- Keep project drawings up to date by clearly marking changes for ‘as-constructed’ records
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area on site
- Communicate material and consumable requirements and raise purchase requisitions as needed
- Ensure parts are correctly receipted and allocated, and liaise with administration on delivery paperwork
- Attend site meetings and liaise with suppliers where required
- Accurately complete weekly timesheets, recording hours worked against relevant project jobs
Key Objectives
- Collaborate with the Electrical Supervisor to manage manpower, work priorities, and project variations
- Maintain high standards of workmanship to minimise rework and meet project deadlines
- Build effective working relationships with fellow electricians, engineers, and support staff
- Contribute to the setup and maintenance of project documentation including:
- WHS Site Files
- Cable Schedules
- Quality Assurance documents (ITPs/ITCs)
- 3-week lookahead programs
What We’re Looking For
- Current NSW Electrical Licence
- Construction White Card and relevant site tickets
- Proven experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical installations
- Strong understanding of WHS practices and SWMS
- Ability to read and interpret technical and construction drawings
- Reliable, team-oriented, and proactive approach to work
- High attention to detail and quality standards
