We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator with strong Data Centre expertise to play a pivotal role in shaping major infrastructure projects. This position not only focuses on delivering accurate, competitive estimates but also provides the opportunity to lead and manage our National Estimating Team, driving excellence in cost strategy and proposal development across the business.

This opportunity will see you:

• Review customer enquiries and develop detailed, accurate cost estimates covering labour, materials, and equipment.
• Lead the national estimating function, ensuring all cost proposals are technically compliant, comprehensive, and aligned with customer requirements and project win strategies.
• Manage all cost components of RSGx proposals, ensuring consistency in methodology and approach across all schedules.
• Analyse RFP documentation, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and help shape the win strategy for each opportunity.
• Facilitate cost proposal kick‑off meetings, clearly outlining structure, expectations, and strategic direction for contributing estimators.
• Oversee the estimating process end‑to‑end, validating client data, challenging assumptions, and adjusting estimates to maintain alignment with strategy.
• Conduct cost review meetings, support estimators one‑on‑one, and ensure all contributors meet submission timelines.
• Maintain and refine estimating bases, assembly costs, catalogue pricing, and norms within ProEst, benchmarking against operational performance.
• Collaborate with the Pre‑Contracts Systems Manager to enhance template estimating processes and improve consistency.
• Manage submission schedules, monitor progress, and oversee Extension of Time requests where required.
• Review all proposal sections prior to submission to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment.
• Build strong relationships with Procurement and Rate Card teams to support competitive and reliable pricing.
• Maintain organised estimating records and produce clear, concise cost reports.
• Support smooth project handovers through thorough documentation and communication.

About You

• A strong electrical background, ideally within construction or engineering.
• Proven experience estimating MV and HV fit‑outs for Data Centre projects.
• A track record of delivering accurate, reliable cost projections for complex infrastructure.
• Confidence using estimating software (ProEst experience highly regarded).
• The ability to interpret complex technical requirements and translate them into robust, competitive cost proposals.
• Strong leadership capability – able to guide, mentor, and align a national estimating team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive strategic outcomes.
