HV Testing Technicians

RSGx is growing our specialist HV Testing team and is on the lookout for experienced HV Testing Technicians to support works across private and utility networks throughout Victoria. 

About the Role
You’ll join a high-performing team conducting either Primary or Secondary HV Testing, depending on your skill set.

Primary Testing may include CT/VT ratio and polarity checks, primary injection testing, circuit breaker timing, contact resistance, and protection relay trip testing.

Secondary Testing may include protection relay configuration and testing (SEL, Siemens, GE), SCADA point-to-point checks, and end-to-end scheme testing.

Projects span private networks such as data centres, water infrastructure, renewables, and rail systems, as well as utility assets including transmission and distribution.

Candidates with VESI qualifications are highly regarded.

Minimum Requirements
Advanced Diploma in ESI (UET60222) or equivalent
Demonstrated experience in either primary or secondary HV testing
VESI passport/qualifications preferred but not essential
Strong focus on safety, compliance, and technical quality

Remuneration & Conditions
Rates range from $63.34 per hour (base) to $80.53 per hour (base) determined by your experience, plus applicable site allowances, penalties, and overtime.
Typical work week is approximately 50 hours.
