HV/LV Site Electrical Engineer
The Opportunity
RSGx is seeking a highly skilled and motivated HV/LV Site Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of major water infrastructure projects across Sydney, from concept design through to commissioning.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in high and low voltage electrical systems, particularly within water treatment plants, pump stations, and distribution networks. You’ll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of electrical works on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to concept design, feasibility assessments, and technical planning of electrical systems.
- Develop and review detailed electrical designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Oversee and manage HV/LV electrical installations on water infrastructure sites.
- Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Australian electrical standards, WHS regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Coordinate with project engineers, subcontractors, and site supervisors to meet project milestones.
- Provide technical input and troubleshooting support during construction and commissioning phases.
- Support procurement and ensure quality control of electrical materials and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
You bring solid experience in site-based electrical engineering, ideally within the water or utilities sector. You’ve worked on HV/LV systems, SCADA integration, and have a strong understanding of electrical safety and commissioning practices.
You thrive in dynamic environments, are solutions-focused, and can work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HV/LV electrical systems, preferably in water infrastructure
- Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, and automation systems
- Current NSW Electrical License (or working towards)
- Chartered status or working towards (desirable)
- White Card and relevant site safety certifications
