The Position:
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a highly organised Lead Planner to join our dynamic team in Sydney, NSW.
As a Lead Planner, you will play a vital role in implementing and overseeing project schedules across the Australian business, both pre and post contract. Your responsibilities will involve working in the PMO department, reporting to the PMO Manager, and collaborating closely with project managers. Your primary tasks will include setting tasks, monitoring project timelines, and ensuring the successful execution of projects. Additionally, you may be involved in preparing project progress and performance evaluation reports.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide Earned value analysis of projects and make recommendation
- Provide guidance in the development of tender schedules, project baseline schedules and project reports
- Review project schedules during execution for mitigation of risk and maximising opportunity
- Provide expertise in Delay Analysis and EOT support.
- Consulting with project managers and technical experts to establish assignments, tasks, and subtasks.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining an efficient scheduling management system.
- Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring project timelines and ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Identifying potential delays in project schedules and facilitating timely interventions.
- Evaluating project performance and generating progress reports.
- Accommodating updates and modifications to project schedules.
- Recommending actions to ensure projects remain within budget and are completed on time.
- Keeping stakeholders well-informed about project timelines and deadlines.
- Documenting project scheduling processes and maintaining accurate records.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a project scheduler in a related industry.
- Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software, specifically Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Extensive experience in schedule planning and management.
- Advanced ability to evaluate project progress and effectively intervene when necessary.
- Strong aptitude for keeping stakeholders informed about project timelines and any changes.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
