About the Role
RSGx is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in water infrastructure design to join our team based in Brisbane. Work arrangements from Sydney Head Office is acceptable. As a member of RSGx, you will engage in a diverse range of design projects, requiring adaptability and problem-solving skills to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
This position involves close collaboration with our engineering team on multi-disciplinary projects as well as the ability to demonstrate initiative, autonomy, and the ability to lead projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
The Senior Design Engineer will develop deliverables that meet design requirements, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining effective coordination with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- CPEng status through Engineers Australia in Electrical Engineering, demonstrating a high standard of professionalism, expertise, and ethical practice
Key Skills and Experience Required
- Strong technical understanding of electrical and controls engineering principles
- Proven experience in delivering detailed design and documentation for major infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in producing project deliverables, including reports, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation
- In-depth knowledge of the design development process and ability to meet deadlines
- Competence in project scheduling, including reporting earned value status
- Familiarity with cost management processes and reporting
- Proficiency in electrical and controls engineering design and calculation software for integrated project delivery
- Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
- Experience contributing to multi-disciplinary teams delivering civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and controls services
- Commitment to “Safety in Design” principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
