About the Role We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Manager – West, who will provide senior technical leadership and management of RSGx’s high voltage construction, testing and commissioning capability across Western Australia. The role is primarily aligned to the Project Services business unit, with the HV Manager providing technical oversight, resourcing and commissioning support to Major Projects as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Resourcing of HV scopes of work across designated projects, including sourcing, interviewing and mobilising HV Primary Testers, HV Secondary Testers and HV Technicians 
• Supporting pre-contract activities, including technical input into tenders, proposals and bids for HV works 
• Developing commissioning plans, commissioning philosophies and test methodologies for HV projects 
• Providing technical oversight and hands-on support to Project Services projects involving HV construction, testing and commissioning 
• Planning and running HV shutdowns, including scope development, resourcing, scheduling and outage management 
• Acting as the technical authority and point of escalation for HV matters across all Project Services projects

Selection Criteria
Essential

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in high voltage construction, testing and commissioning, spanning both primary and secondary works 
• Trade background with progression into an engineering, technical or management role
• Demonstrated experience managing project delivery on projects up to $10m in value
• Experience leading and managing a workforce of 40 or more field personnel across multiple concurrent projects
• Strong working knowledge of HV protection, primary injection and secondary injection testing methodologies 

Desirable

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
• Electrical trade qualification (A-Grade Electrician or equivalent)
• Relevant state-based electrical licence
• HV switching authorisation / network operator accreditation
