Design & ECI Delivery

RSGx operates a dedicated in-house engineering team, partnering with developers and builders during ECI phases to drive efficient, buildable, and resilient design outcomes. 

Drawing on extensive experience across complex infrastructure, tunnelling, and transmission projects, we support clients in developing data centre electrical systems that prioritise:

Construction & Electrical Fitout

RSGx is actively engaged with leading data centre developers and builders, providing input into electrical fitout tenders and delivery methodologies across major projects. 

This builds on our proven track record delivering large-scale M&E packages, including full electrical fitouts of metro rail infrastructure across NSW and QLD. Our delivery model is structured to integrate seamlessly with builder programs while maintaining strict control over quality, safety, and sequencing in high-pressure environments. 

High Voltage (HV) Delivery & Commissioning

RSGx group, delivers specialist high-voltage installation and commissioning services across the full project lifecycle. 

We take full ownership of commissioning scopes from 415V through to 330kV, including:

  • Protection and control systems  
  • Metal-clad switchgear  
  • Power and instrument transformers  
  • UPS and critical power systems  

These commissioning tests include:  

  • Verification against single line diagrams, schematics and interlocking philosophies 
  • Visual and mechanical inspection of assembled switchgear 
  • Insulation resistance testing (pre‑ and post‑HV testing) 
  • Contact resistance testing of busbars, circuit breakers, disconnectors and earth switches 
  • Circuit breaker functional testing, including: timing tests (open, close, close-open), reduced control voltage operation, and auxiliary contact verification 
  • Control circuit and protection interface verification 
  • AC HV withstand testing in accordance with IEC and manufacturer requirements 
  • Interlocking verification (mechanical, electrical and logic‑based) 
  • Integration testing with protection, control and SCADA systems 
  • Pre‑energisation, energisation and post‑energisation checks

Permit to Work (PTW) & Operational Readiness

Our model includes: 

  • Dedicated Permit Control Officers and PTW management  
  • Structured energisation and isolation procedures  
  • Oversight of subcontractor installation, testing, and commissioning standards  

By taking ownership of PTW and energisation processes, we reduce risk, improve coordination, and allow project teams to maintain focus on critical path delivery.
